MY WIFE, MY PRICELESS JEWEL

Beautiful woman of my heart, not only did my love for you originate before my birth, but I have loved you even before my mother was created.

You are the peace among a war of roses and in your sweet tears, a dying flower upon a grief-stricken stem has the hope of lifesaving water to help revive its withered petals.

Even the trickle of a lazy river and the whistling winds whisper your lovely name with their refreshing sounds.

My darling, my Lady Flower, I have much happiness in your kisses and satisfaction from your loving embrace.

All things are beautiful in my life because of your illuminating spirit.

With your feminine touch, you make my heart dance to our song, while fulfilling all my desires in our temple of love.

You are my rock and my stronghold, for the dawning of a new day has no meaning to me without the awe-inspiring light of your dazzling smile before my eyes.

You are the eternal love I bear in springtime and every other season under the dewdrops of my heart.

Even though the burdens of this life are many, my load is always lighter when I walk hand-in-hand with you...the most precious and priceless jewel of my heart.

  2. 'dewdrops of my heart' great phrase! I find it amazing that you can write so regularly about love but each time it is unique and fresh.

    Check out my latest poem if you want to:

  3. Wow! I could sense how precious your wife is. And I find it delightful to see how such love is expressed in words.

    I could only say God is my rock and my stronghold :) but I guess even the psalmist who wrote this was strongly attached to the Lord ~ I could understand why.

    This is an inspiration and a balance to the things I hear, read and see on married life.

    Stay in love with your wife:)

  4. This poem is the ultimate testimony to the "precious and priceless jewel" your wife is to you. She is one most fortunate woman!
    Are "diamonds a girl's best friend"?
    Not so!
    Not when words like these can immortalize her soul. . .
    God bless you, Andy, for expressing this grand love for your beloved.

  6. Beautiful, Andy. I had not realized that the woman for whom you wrote all this beautiful poetry was your wife. Such a lucky woman she is, Andy, to have a man who pens her such beautiful verse.

  20. Hello friends.
    Some people go through life never knowing the true joys of love, never finding that special someone who completes them & makes their life worth living. I am most fortunate to not only have found my soul mate, but to have her complete love as well. I'm extremely touched by your warm & kind sentiments. Thank you all.

    Especially to Prosenjeet: Pro, I have on occasion written many poems that are not related to romance. If you go through my blog, you will surely find them. Here are a few to get you started:
    * Your Reward Is My Sorrow
    * The Last Kiss
    * The Lonely Man

    With that being said, I think you've read enough of my poems to know by now that I am a love man...I exist in the image of love. The world is already filled with too much sadness & heartache. It craves love & romance. That's where I come in...show me the man or woman who doesn't desire love & romance! (smile). I appreciate your comments though & thank you for taking the time to stop by.

  21. Its really touching when a man cares enough to devote a post for his wife

  22. I don't know what I'd do if you wrote about something other than love. I think romantic love is a sample of the love we strive for - unconditional and universal. But though just a sample, it is a wonderful teacher, helping us accept and rejoice over another being.

    Keep writing Andy. You'll never exhaust the possibilities of infinite love.

  23. Gifts that penetrate the heart are worth more than trinkets. Every poem you write about love is a present to the reader. Lovely Andy!
