{THIS MOMENT}...my first!

A Friday moment, a single photo - no words - capturing the week, day or experiences. A simple or extraordinary moment.
This moment is one I want to pause, savor and remember.

{This Moment} is a ritual found on Life - inspired by the weeman adopted from Soulemama which was introduced to me by my blog friends. If you find yourself touched by a Moment and would like to participate, post your picture on a Friday and leave your link in the comments section, so I can visit your "Moment".

I love my mom dearly. Since my dad passed away, she has been both parents to me. Life has been tough for her, but she has always remained a woman of humility & grace. Thank you for the kind words.

There were a couple of shots prior to this one where both my mom & I were in tears. It was a tender moment that tugs at my heartstrings every time I look back at the photos. Besides my wife, mom is the pride of my heart.
Thank you for saying such lovely things. Your kindness means a lot to me.

    1. Hello Angie.
This time is a very special moment for me. I had been absent from my mom for a very, very long time and when we embraced & our eyes locked, no words were necessary. All the love I felt for her came out in that hug. It's like no one else existed at that moment, except me & her. Even now, it's very hard for me to pen these words without becoming emotional. I have to give thanks to my wife who captured this shot & left me with memories that will remain in my heart forever.
Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them very much.

    1. Hello Jan.
My mom & I have a very special bond. She lives overseas and we don't get to see each other as much as I would like. When this photo was taken (by my wonderful wife), I hadn't seen my mom in ages. Once she held me in her arms, the floodgates opened and we became lost in each other's love.
Thank you for your kindness & for stopping by. Means a lot to me.

  22. Hi Andy,

First of all, thanks so much for leaving comments on my blog. That certainly makes blogging extra special! :) I so enjoyed getting comments on those posts which didn't have a comment yet. That was such a treat -- a big thanks for your time and effort (and for enduring word verfication, too). I tried to switch to comment moderation, but that just doesn't work all too well for me. So I just hope that the majority of bloggers simply take the few seconds to type a word for verification. I don't mind doing that myself if I visit a fellow blogger -- time well spent. :)

Your photo is touching and tells a story, too. Great picture! I might try to participate THIS MOMENT, too.

For the time-being, what about having a look at my Advent and Christmas and getting an impression of Munich's Christmas market ? Moreover, you can see some frosty weather photos and pictures from a walk around my neighborhood on January 1st. Finally, there are photos of New Year's Eve . Of course, comments are welcome -- it's always great to hear what you think!

    Have a wonderful 2012,
your blog friend from Munich, Germany,
    Birgit
