For the first time ever, I'm taking part in the A-Z Challenge and NaPoWriMo, where I'll have to write a poem a day for the whole of April (26 in total for A-Z). I'm combining both challenges. Sundays are writing days off for the A-Z Challenge (except for Day 1). This is my entry for NaPoWriMo Day 22 only.

The rays of the sun have induced their warmth into my
heart, just like the woman whose kisses are forever.
Life has many failures that can
sometimes sway the human heart from seeking the happiness of love and desire.
Thankfully, the whisper of love
is so eloquent that when falling from the voice of a faithful heart, it can
heal any tormented soul.
Incredibly, I have found the
beauty of love in the eyes of a maiden whose graciousness blossoms like a
flower in the earth's first paradise.
Because of her sincerity and
kindness, this heart of mine, once forlorn, no longer has nightmares of sorrow
and loneliness.
This beautiful woman has sanctified
my life with an assortment of flowers representing the fragrant aroma of
spring's early morning breeze.
To savor her kisses leaves me
weak with pleasure, but strong enough to love her eternally for the rest of my days.

Your poetry makes me quiet breathless Andy.
ReplyDeleteMy lovely Janaki,
DeleteYou are breathless because what I write comes from the inspiration of your beautiful, sultry smile...
Batting my eyelids!!!
DeleteMy dear Janaki,
DeleteAny man, including SK, will find it a privilege to be in your humble presence.
"The whisper of love..." I love that line and the line that follows...Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDear Jessica,
DeleteThank you for such kind words. Please know they were greatly appreciated.
Dear Andy, Another very beautiful poem. Keep it up. I am sure you will come out winner in the challenges ! Best Wishes. Ram
ReplyDeleteMy friend Ram,
DeleteThank you so much for the encouragement. I don't mind losing for love's beauty (smile).
You are fortunate to have found that love, Andy. So many of us are still searching for that. Beautiful. Missed reading your beautiful poems of love.
ReplyDeleteDearest Rimly,
DeleteThank you for those kind words. Love is for all of us. I do believe it can be found with the faithfulness of time.
As Rimly says you are indeed most fortunate in your love and to have the words of veneration.
ReplyDeleteDenise
My beautiful Denise,
DeleteThank you for the smile and sweet words. I just love to love and will always try to write about its precious values.
I would love to know how your writing process works, Andy. The ease with which your words flow is just amazing.
ReplyDeleteDear Corinne,
DeleteYou know my secret...MUKESH. His music is my inspiration and fits my heart perfect. I am a simple but humble man. I once wrote..." a blade of grass has more beauty to me than a blooming flower sitting upon the warm fingertips of an unfaithful woman". Even if I was alone...there is so much beauty and contentment in loneliness and sorrow...
Humble I get, simple I'm not so sure, Andy and I meant that in the best way. I'm going to go out and find a Mukesh to inspire me too.
DeleteMy friend Corinne,
DeleteMukesh was born in 1923...way before my time and yours, but there is something about his voice, his music and my heart. We are connected in a way I cannot explain except to say they create magic and love when together (smile). I am a simple man, really. I am quiet and just enjoy writing love poetry. I don't need the riches and lust of the world to be happy. Even if I had just one reader, I would smile with gratitude and contentment. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
I love the contrasting imagery in your verse - the rays of the sun and forever kisses... I would love to quote but it seems it is not possible to cut and paste on to comments here. Well done, my friend!
ReplyDeleteDearest Adura,
DeleteYou are most kind to my humble heart. I am touched by the affection you have for my simple work.
Sorry about the cut and paste...I have that function disabled. Your visits are always appreciated. Thanking you from the bottom of my heart and soul.
Like Corinne, I wonder about your process and I can't help but think that there must be something special about someone who writes exclusively about love. There is no more worthy topic. And though you write about romantic love, I suspect that love has no boundaries, so love must filter through all of your days transactions, thoughts, relationships. You're unique Andy.
ReplyDeleteMy sweet Myrna,
DeleteI am just a simple "so called" poet. All I know is love. Until I can not feel or write about it anymore, I will not stop. You have touched me deeply with your beautiful words and invisible tears...
What a beautiful expression of love.

ReplyDeleteMy sweet friend Balqis,

Your wife is blessed because I can tell these words were about her. So sweet and heartfelt. :-)
ReplyDeleteMy friend Tameka,
DeleteLove is all I know and feel. I write what comes from the very depth and soil of my heart. Thank you for the smile and kind words.
Such beautiful, wise words. We all risk great loneliness if we aren't thankful for the love we receive. Of course, most of us can't show our thanks quite as eloquently as you. :)
ReplyDeleteDear Rachel,
DeleteYou have moved and touch me emotionally with your beautiful words. Thank you so much for this my friend.
Oh Andy-every romantic word written by you is really so beautiful and sanctifies the soul:)
ReplyDeleteMy precious Elvira,
DeletePlease accept my apologies for not replying to this sooner.
Sometimes the trials and tribulations of life can cause us to question love, but love never changes. It is we imperfect humans who misuse love's meaning then blame love. My heart is always overflowing with love and as you know, I express what I feel, for the voice of love cannot be stilled (smile). Thank you dear friend for your kind words. I'll be stopping by soon.
