In the kindness of peace, love becomes the supreme beauty
of what sweet tranquility really means.
In the arena of the heart, sorrow
and happiness are often friends, not enemies, for sorrow is a part of love, even
though the laws of men try to divide them through greed and bloodshed.
An emotional heart full of love
rushes to touch another, like a torrential downpour of life-saving water upon
arid soil.
In the kindness of love, an empty
heart is nourished…the body worshiped…and the mind that was once consumed with bitterness becomes forgiving.
Until the end of our days when
death removes us from each other, our existence will have meant nothing if love
is not burning like a torch inside each heart.
Tell me, my friends, what good are
happiness, lust and riches if love is not embraced and given freely with
faithful tears to those in need?
Really, what good is the
enjoyment of life if the warmth and tenderness of our feelings cannot be found
or displayed in the kindness of love?

love and sorrow do go together. opening ourselves to love makes us vulnerable to sorrow. i guess that is where the old saying 'it is better to have love and lost, than never to have loved at all' come from.

Love is kind. Very nice "K" word, Andy.
ReplyDelete“1 Corinthians 13:4-8 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails.”

Hi Andy, this just made my heart bleed for those in war torn countries like Syria. How bizarre are human beings at time. That blood thirsty desire to force submission on people and deny them the things they need for everyday life. That may not have been what you set out to say, but that's what came to me.
ReplyDeleteLetting you know i'll be offline most of the next 2 weeks, only popping in occasionally for appearances due to having a ball after my enforced writing retreat. The fun starts in earnest tomorrow! So no Lovers Cove until I get home.
Keep 'em comin' Andy
Denise
My dearest Denise,
DeleteYes, what is happening in Syria is heartbreaking. These are not my words....but, "the world must pass away". Man cannot live independent of GOD. Man fights for what does not belong to him, like the Earth, Water, Air Space. Show me the man or men that created them. In any case, have fun and know that I will miss your presence. Lover's Cove latest creation will be up later today. You are very dear to me my friend (smile).
Love is supreme,Love is sublime
